ABOUT

Sabino de Bari is an Italian composer and guitarist based in London.  He graduated in composition cum laude and in classical guitar.


As a composer, his music has been performed in Italy, England, France, Austria, Spain, China and Mexico. His composition “Nubi”, for string orchestra, has received an honourable mention at the “Premio Sinopoli” 2017 composition competition while his composition “Gloucester” for orchestra won the third prize in the “Premio Abbado” composition competition (2015 Edition). ​


He released solo guitar albums (Pas de chat, In Lontananza) including Nubes and Loop Quantum Gravity for decacorde (10 strings guitar) and ensemble music albums (Voices, Lo Racconta il Mare).

His piece for guitar “Valse des Troix Oisons” was included in the “14 Selected Pieces By New Composers” collection, presented by Leo Brouwer for the “Roberto Fabbri Signature Series” (Ed. Carisch). He published his guitar method for children “The Sounds of the Guitar”, where creative skills, as well as performing skills, are taught through exciting original pieces of music which include extended techniques for a fun approach to music learning.


He has been performing concerts as a soloist as well as playing in an ensemble and He has been involved in several international music festivals and contexts. 

As an educator, he teaches Composition, Counterpoint and Harmony at the London Performing Academy of Music and guitar a the North London Conservatoire.
